Life Lessons

Hello, my name is Jace. I am a sophomore in high school. I am Asian, everybody likes those. I've recently read a book titled 'The Last Lecture' by Randy Pausch. This is an autobiography of a professor who has pancreatic cancer, and does a 'Last Lecture' on life, dreams, and lessons for his students, fans, friends, and his kids for when they're older. This book has inspired me to write a blog about life lessons I have learned myself and to share what I've learned with the world.

James

My best buddy James Antoine also taught me very much in life.  He drives me, even now, to work hard and finish strong on things from football, to school projects.  He pushes me harder and harder all the time, and even inspires me with his own work and heart.  James is a model student and young man, and I strive to be as responsible and dedicated as he is.

Donovan

 My friend, Donovan Evans, was very influential to me.  He was my best friend all through middle school and most of freshman year until he moved.  He was smart and skilled but to lazy to use these gifts to his advantage.  The one thing I always admired in him was how wise he was for his age.  He had amazing common sense and street smarts, he was experienced with almost every situation.  He taught me a lot in our couple years of friendship.

Grandma Judy

One of the people who made the biggest changes in my life is my Grandma Judy.  She is my dad’s mother, and she is the most old school women there is.  She was raised by an even more old school dirty poor single mother of 6 who had rules so strict it would make dean Perkins cry in the feudal position.  My grandma was hardcore, and would sacrifice anything in her life if it would benefit her children.  I admire her more than any other family member, she’s fought through the most horrible things God could throw at her, and she still stands strong with her head high.  My Grandma Judy will always be one of the most influential people in my life.  Right now she is fighting lung cancer, and I believe the tough old bat can even fight that off.
